“Where do we draw the line between our devices and ourselves?”
This is a really interesting experimental art piece (via the New York Times) on a fictional life-coach that gets to know you from your interaction with an app on your phone. Interaction with it exposes the user’s psyche to examination and builds rapport with the app.
In some ways it’s reminiscent of the artificial intelligence operating system “Samantha” in Spike Jonze film “Her”. Jaoquin Phoenix’s character develops a relationship with Samantha, even though it (she?) is just a piece of software.
It will be available shortly in the Apple App Store and is sure to be an interesting download.
